Krakken and TLKT Used in Tandem

Hi folks,

Before we begin, here is the visual map that shows the Theme Zoom Product Relationship Chart.

I want to personally introduce you to what I call “The Perpetual Keyword Motion Machine” and what are officially called the Theme Zoom Suite of Market Research and Keyword Research Tools. These tools are available on a subscription only basis at http://www.themezoom.com

The main purpose of the associated video is to help you distinguish the difference between Krakken and TLKT.

Krakken is a a Vertical Online Market Analysis tool, and not really a keyword research tool. Of course you can perform keyword research with this tool, but that is sort of like using a stick of dynamite to kill an ant.

Both tools utilize Natural Language Processing (NLP) as a technology driver. You get the benefits of our technology development and investments when using either tool.

The main difference between TLKT and Krakken is that Krakken is a “top-down” natural language processing application. Krakken was designed help you “Swallow Your Market Whole.” You will use Krakken to segment your vertical market themes and keyword clusters and organize your USP (unique selling position) with the appropriate profitable theme clusters. You can use Krakken to segment your Market into Niches and Microniches that are the most profitable silos and theme clusters.

The important difference between Krakken and TLKT is that Krakken will let you analyze the competition for entire clusters of keywords at the same time, while TLKT works primarily with one keyword at a time.

If you or your client are trying to “Swallow Your Market Whole” (rank for multiple keywords at the same time on the internet) you really do not want to focus on one keyword at a time. This is why we consider Krakken a “Market Research Module” and not a keyword research tool.

When you think about “online dominance” you need to start thinking in terms of keyword and theme “clusters.” That is you should focus on several ideas within the online conversation all at once. This saves time and puts you in a “head-space” to understand how all of the online conversations around your product/service are connected on the internet.

Once you are finished analyzing your market, you will segment your market and you will understand your TSMV or your “total search market value” for your entire pile of keywords within you theme.

Krakken also as a unique feature that TLKT (The Last Keyword Tool) does not. Krakken is tied to Theme Zoom’s proprietary Blue Print technology which is generated automatically once you have completed the Krakken VOMA (vertical online market analysis) process. The Blue Print generator creates a map of a possible Website Silo Architecture (WSA) that can be seamlessly created by the push of a button. This WSA can be imported into the Theme Zoom Silo publisher website builder with a simple click of the button. If you wish to build your Website Silo Architecture in other applications, you will need to import them by hand, or you may request access to the Blue Print API (application interface) if you desire an integration with a website builder application of your own choosing.

TLKT or “The Last Keyword Tool” does not connect to the Theme Zoom’s Blue Print technology but we have had users create their own blueprints using less rigorous methods that Krakken applies.

The main purpose of TLKT is to give you access to a piece of Krakken’s natural language processing technology at an affordable price for the beginner. But the secondary purpose of TLKT is to give you access to deep research on long tail keywords including local search terms.

One of the problems you will find with quick-downloadable keywords tools and free keyword tools is that they may show you a large list of long tail keywords, but they do not help you with the priority of “importance” for that keyword within the ever-changing online conversation.

Another aspect of Krakken and TLKT that is important to understand is that the keyword and theme cluster results are in “real time.” This means that we have to look at the web and refresh our data very often in order to maintain its accuracy.

Of course the one of the most important benefits is that the hierarchy of decision can be made about a keyword with both TLKT and Krakken. In other words, if the definition of success for your business or keyword is ranking for keywords that are incredibly profitable, it is easy to figure out using the TLKT transparent filter function of Krakken’s sort function. The TSMV calculator allows you an easy decision making tool for determining the value of a term, concept or cluster over a long period of time.

Krakken has many more advanced features, including the ability to look at the ranking of a website corresponding to multiple keywords within your keyword cluster. This is not available on TLKT. However, TLKT does allow you to look at the ranking factors corresponding to one keyword at a time.

Is it possible to perform all of the functions that Krakken provides, including a WSA blue Print, using TLKT alone?

Well, you cannot do everything that Krakken provides, no. But an un-skilled user can create a Blue Print given much more time – say several extra weeks, once they “grok” the methodology of Website Silo Architecture. It is still very difficult to segment vertical market themes as quickly without Krakken as you can as a Krakken member.

Most advanced users will integrate the use of both Krakken and TLKT together for “world dominating” results. This method gives you the best of both worlds: Top Down market research from Krakken and Bottom Up keyword research using The Last Keyword Tool

How to Use Theme Zoom to Create an Article Marketing Plan

Hello folks,

I have received several questions lately about the best way to submit articles. For those of you who have been web marketing for awhile, you have seen many article submission software applications come and go.

I used to recommend “article marketer” but they seem to have changed hands and it is no longer an option that I recommend. At the suggestion of a friend and advanced Theme Zoom user Matt DeCruz, I took a look at Submit Your Article (dot com) and I am pretty happy with the application. There are many promotional tasks that you need to be doing besides article marketing, but if you are willing to take zero short cuts, and provide good solid articles, you can still get a lot of mileage from article marketing.

It was only a couple of years ago when I was suggesting PLR content and complex article spinning. Some people still use this method, and this article is nothing against them. But in case you haven’t noticed, some things have changed on the internet since 2005.

If you are going to write an article, take the time to do it right. At the very least create the FIRST version of an article as a high quality endeavor. You will simply get a higher ROI and a long term promotional value if you write a decent article the first time. I suggest that your article writing work-flow begin with your blog post. You should then take your very BEST blog posts and rewrite them as new articles that you plan to submit to the very best article directories.

Here is a quick-map to show you the process I use to generate articles for the best Theme Zoom blog posts:

Before you start creating the categories on your main website and blog, I presume you have already segmented your market using Krakken and followed that up with plenty of research using TLKT or “The Last Keyword Tool.”

Once you have segmented your themes you can use the filters in TLKT to prepare a couple months worth of blog tags and titles using long tails for your important category themes:

Then you can move on to the article submission phase. Providing your readers with excellent content by re-writing the blog article will allow you to “segment and modify” the excellent article using the Article Leverage application within your Submit Your Article membership application.

The Last Keyword Tool versus Free Keyword Research Tools

Hi guys,

I got an amusing and honest question from John in Australia via Skype Chat. Here it is:

John: Hey Russell, Can you tell me what advantage there is with your keyword tool over the free Google one? I am evaluating whether to recommend my crew to do deep keyword research or not.

Now I have to admit that I was shocked to get such a question. The difference is so huge that I was thrown backwards. But then again, I realized that it is no fault of John’s that he does not know the difference. So I tried to answer him.

Russell: In my opinion the advantage is that the filters and columns allow you to choose keywords that are most profitable and most related to your specific conversation. Also there is more flexibility and more information that Google free does not provide in a single data line. It does all this using natural language processing based on a competitive perspective that Google is really not in business to provide.

John: Ok, thanks.

Russell: There is also a competitive analysis tool that allows you to view the SEO details of any specific keyword. We will let you know if the top ten ranked sites associated with your theme have included the keyword in the:

  1. Domain
  2. URL
  3. Title
  4. Meta-tag

TLKT will also let you know how many pages indexed for the word as well as how many inbound links are pointed to the associated page.  Oh yeah, we show you the page rank of the domain as well.

The “Off-page Competitive Analysis Visualization” screen above tells you the average ranking factors for the top ten domains in question. At a quick-glance, you will see if the ranked terms is difficult or easy to rank for.

4 Million Dollar Market Research Questions

Even as a developer of a keyword research and market research software application, I still ask the “other three” questions before I use my own software.  I teach my students to consider these four questions regardless of their project size and demand.

The 4 Millions Dollar Questions: How To Avoid Guaranteed Start-Up Failure on the Internet

For those of you short on time, below is a 3 minute video that essentially covers the entire concept. Amazingly, these “4 Research Questions” have helped more of my students than any other market research document I have made. These questions are very important when building a site for an affiliate program. Do not take them for granted. Few people sincerely review the questions.

When I asked my students why they do not review the “4 questions” with their own products, it is because they do not see the point since they are already in business and have a product. If they already sell a “vitamin” instead of a “painkiller” what point is there in reviewing my niche mining questions?

The 4 questions are more than just niche mining questions. They are designed to help you change or even slighly modify your position in the marketplace if your “vitamin.” Approach is not working.

It is much easier to sell “pain killers” than it is to sell “vitamins.” This is why painkillers are far more regulated than vitamins. Vitamins are “nice to have.” Painkillers are “gotta have it.”

So even if you have already chosen a product and have been in the vitamin business for 20 years, there is always a way to “reposition” your product in order to lean more towards the “painkiller” side. This is almost always done through marketing copy writing.

For example, if you are selling a calcium vitamin, you can reposition it as more of a painkiller using your copy writing by providing examples of “prevention.” Unfortunately this requires that you provide the negative facts about what may happen to someones health if they are calcium deficient. Some people view this as fear mongering. Copy writers view this as “paycheck.”

Human beings are pretty simple. We move towards pleasure and avoid pain, but we tend to respond to pain more quickly.

When you get to question number three you are going to need to use one of the Theme Zoom market research/keyword research applications. The Last Keyword Tool will help you discover the answer to question three: “Are People Searching for this Niche?”
